Here's a question for the Statuephiles amongst us: I'm looking for stories involving people sealed inside statues or mannequins, voluntarily or otherwise, and used as art objects, furniture, etc. Wouldn't call it transformation as such, seeing as the person is merely encased rather than changed.

Any links?

Well, I have to confess that's not among my favourite means of immobilization, and I can't think of a huge number of examples. In fact the only one I can think of from film or TV was an episode of the animated "Dr Doolittle" where it happened to the dog!

However, Taral Wayne has done a number of pictures of girls (mostly furry, of course) getting stuck or encased. Since most of the victims' mouths and noses are covered their survival seems to be in doubt, and in "Mishap" it's actually treated as a form of erotic asphyxiation.

In addition, some of the girls in the Metal section are described as having been electroplated - again, probably not survivable, but fwiw:

Finally there's coating in latex in the 2-part Rubber Bunny/India Rubber sequence.

Hmmm... I'm thinking more in terms of a form-fitting casing or shell rather than a coating or rubber or metal. Not so much transforming a person into a statue as sealing them inside one.

Mannequin Mistress or something. Woman wandering around a warehouse inventorying seized merchandise. The Owner shows up, a mistress, and shows her what it is and how it works. A mannequin costume. Of course, once the assessor is wearing it, she is informed she is the new slave.

Well after much thought, I am writing a story on the theme of statue encasement. It's about a temple where the images of the deity have living people sealed inside them. These are all volunteers who consider it an honour and some remain encased for a full year. Some do it repeatedly. I just wrote the introduction that describes the setting and introduces the woman who will be encased—it came to 2,400 words... haven't written so much for a long time:)

The next section will describe her installation in the statue in detail. I'm going out of my way to make everything as plausible and real-world workable as I can. The rest of the story will describe her life as a statue for a year; no idea how long the story will eventually be but it looks to be quite long. No idea as yet where I could publish this... if I can maybe it will provoke inquiries about doing this sort of thing for real laugh.gif

Any thoughts?

OK, just an update to say that the story has become quite involved and detailed so that I'm at over 8.200 words and the main character is still in the middle of the encasement process. I find I'm spending a lot of time establishing the background and characters as well as describing the encasement. I'm trying to make that seem as plausible as I can, like something you could actually do in real life!

Been coming up with other story ideas on the theme of statue encasement... maybe enough for a little book laugh.gif

One of my favorites on this can be found on LTBA story site. It's called Mannequin Corset

This one also have an encasement theme:

And then my favorite series ever, but sadly has no end can be found on Sticky Site.

But you'll have to sign up for an account if you want to read those.
